USAID lauds Nakuru County Health Docket for strong community-based activities

Nakuru County has been lauded for having a strong community-based health activities.

USAID says this is key in improving health outcomes in Nakuru County.

This was revealed as a team from USAID dealing with data on family health paid a courtesy visit to Nakuru County’s Executive Committee Member, Roselyn Mungai for Health and the County Health Leadership, ahead of a three-day Data Quality Audit exercise in select facilities across the county.

The team will visit Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital, Naivasha Sub County Hospital, and Molo Sub County Hospital to assess the accuracy of data reported, validate internal monitoring and evaluation systems, and identify areas for improvement.

The aim of the audit is to evaluate various health indicators, including maternal and child health and nutrition.

Feedback from the audit will be shared with facility-level staff, the County Health Management Team, and an overall report will be provided upon completion to the County leadership and the USAID Tujenge Jamii as one of the implementing partners complementing various health programs.
