Nakuru county to take part in National deaf football selection championships in Machakos

Nakuru County will take part in the National National deaf football selection championships to be held in Machakos County.

Executive Committee Member for Youth, Sports, Gender, and Social Services, Josephine Atieno, flagged off the Nakuru County Deaf Football teams for both men and women on Thursday evening.

The Nakuru teams will face off against teams from twelve other counties, with the competition organized into various pools.

Speaking during the event, coach Hassan Hussein lauded Governor Susan Kihika for the unwavering support, noting her dedication to nurturing talent across all sports disciplines in the county.

Ms. Atieno extended her best wishes to the teams, stressing the importance of maintaining discipline throughout the tournament.

She expressed confidence in their ability to perform well and bring pride to the county.

Also present were sports officers, led by Nakuru Town West Sports Officer Caroline Nulu, along with players and coaches.
