The Israeli Government will partner with the County Government of Nakuru in various sectors of development.
This was revealed on Wednesday July 31, 2027 when Nakuru County Deputy Governor David Kones hosted the Israeli Deputy Ambassador to Kenya Ariel Arviv.
The duo discussed matters enhancing key partnerships in agriculture, the school feeding program, and skill exchange initiatives, among other areas.
Ms. Arviv stated that the Israeli Government is committed to assisting Nakuru County in reducing child malnutrition and providing technical teams to support agriculture and the school feeding program.
“We aim to partner with students in Nakuru to help them implement agricultural projects,” she stated.
DG Kones praised the Israeli Government for its partnership with Nakuru County and highlighted additional opportunities for collaboration, particularly in empowering MSMEs and training women and youth in ICT.
He emphasized that Nakuru stands to benefit significantly in areas such as technology and agriculture.
The meeting was also attended by County Executive Members Stephen Kuria (Trade) and Leonard Bor (Agriculture), Chief Officer in the Office of the Governor Martin Kagai, and Director of Trade John Macharia.
They later visited the Agricultural Training College to inspect farm demonstrations.
