Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has given a green light for the Akorino National Conference scheduled for early next month(June) in Nakuru County.
Speaking on Wednesday when she joined the Akurino Community for a meeting towards the same, Kihika lauded the role of religious institutions in shaping morals in society.
She noted that religious institutions have also continued to play key role in complementing the government’s efforts in various social transformational agenda.
“Joined the Akorino community for a planning meeting as they prepare for the upcoming Akurino National Prayers Conference to be held in Nakuru early next month,” stated Kihika.
Kihika welcomed the Akurino Conference to be held in Nakuru.
The Governor who has background in matters laws, reiterated the need to embrace all religions as enshrined in the constitution of Kenya 2010 on freedom of worship.
She assured that her administration will give the Akurino Community the support needed during and after the conference.
“In the spirit of embracing all religious people, we wholly welcome the Akorino to Nakuru for the conference and we shall give them the necessary support for a successful event,” stated Kihika.
