Sarambei-based Non-governmental Organization Dandelion Africa has reiterated commitment towards offering quality healthcare services to rural marginalized women and girls.
This is enabled through the Dandelion Medical Centre established in 2019 at Sarambei village in Rongai Sub-county of Nakuru County.
Since establishment, the facility that has ultra-modern maternity wing has been a blessing to marginalized women and girls at grassroot level who for many years faced challenges of accessing quality healthcare services.
This was revealed on Wednesday August 21, 2024 when the facility hosted more than 70 expectant mothers and many other members of the community for Maternity Open Day that was full of connection, learning, and support.

During the event, Dandelion Africa Executive Director Wendo Aszed revealed that the facility has been able to serve several women ensuring health facility deliveries hence end to child mortality.
While noting that the facility works on principle of maternity care for all and that every mother counts, Wendo reiterated that the facility will continue to do all that pertains in ensuring quality services to the women and girls at grassroot root level through comprehensive reproductive healthcare services.
“We have a goal to address challenges facing maternal health sector in the areas of Lomolo and Mogotio through ensuring access to maternal health services from the facility without having to walk long distances,” she said.
