Boost to mama mboga, SMEs as Kihika inaugurates Enterprise Fund Board

Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has inaugurated into office Enterprise Fund Board.

The members of the Board are Linda Kageha, James Mucheru, Bashir Abdulrahman, and Paul Kirui.

According to Nakuru County Trade CECM Stephen Kuria, the inauguration of the Board into office is a plus to the docket.

He stated that the Board will help manage the enterprise funds appropriated by the County Assembly.

Kuria expressed hope in the Board members adding that it has competent people who will help boost Governor Susan Kihika’s service to the traders and more so the Small Medium Enterprises(SMEs).

“We encourage traders and moreso women who are willing to do business to visit our department so that we can be able to assist them,” stated Kuria.

Nakuru County Assembly Chair Trade Committee Stanley Karanja who is also the MCA Naivasha East stated that the Enterprise Board is key in managing the fund (25 million).

He noted that this is in line with the Bottom Up Economic agenda of the national government under the leadership of President William Ruto.

He challenged the Board to exercise high level of integrity as they discharge their mandate.

“We call on the Board to ensure transparency and avert any form of corruption,” he stated.

According to Karanja, the County Assembly of Nakuru shall continue to play her role on matters oversight and ensure the Board plays their mandate well and that the fund reach the intended persons.
