Anthony Mwaura Mambo is the new Bishop ACK Diocese of Nakuru.
The clergy was installed on Sunday at a ceremony held at Nakuru Athletics Club grounds.
An event that was graced by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and second lady Dorcas Rigathi, ACK Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit, Nakuru Deputy Governor David Kones, Water CS Zachary Njeru and Nakuru MPs and MCAs among others.
Bishop Mambo takes over from Rev.Muchai who has retired.
In his remarks, Deputy President Gachagua emphasized the crucial role the church plays in the society, particularly in combating societal ills such as drugs and substance abuse.
He announced his intention to partner with religious institutions such as ACK Church to tackle these challenges through mentorship, counseling, and the establishment of rehabilitation centers.
Deputy Governor Kones on his part, affirmed Nakuru County’s commitment to supporting the church mission to promote peace, harmony, and societal well being, noting that the Government and Church roles are intertwined.
